The Challenge

We invite you to spin tales that embrace the enigmatic nature of the season, capturing the essence of the mysterious and macabre in a way that leaves readers spellbound. So unleash your creativity and conjure tales that dwell in the depths of darkness, for within them lies the allure of a chilling and unforgettable narrative.

Requirements
  • Word Count: between 500 – 1000 words
  • Original Work: Participants must submit only original work. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  • Language & Content of the submission should be:
      • Appropriate & tailored to the theme of fairytales & fables
      • Suitable for children 5-12 years old
  • Parental Consent: Participants under 18 years of age must obtain parental consent before submitting their work.

*The written work will be reviewed only if the participant adheres to the challenge requirements and incorporates the specified theme mentioned for each challenge.

  • Top Entry: AED 6,000
  • 2nd Place: AED 3,000
  • 3rd Place: AED 1,000

Rights

When accepting the challenge, you grant Seven Sands Publishing the option to retain the winning pieces on their website beyond the initial exclusive period.

The winning piece will be displayed on the Seven Sands Publishing website alongside the author’s name and photograph (if the writer consents to share his/her picture), ensuring proper recognition for the creators.

The personal information of participants will not be shared with third parties by Seven Sands Publishing and will only be used for the purpose of recognizing and announcing the challenge winners.
