What inspired you to write The Night Keeper’s Lantern?

The story was born from my love for weaving mystery and magic into everyday life. I wanted to create a tale that combined the allure of the night with themes of hope, resilience, and the light we carry within.

How did you get into creative writing?

I’ve always loved writing stories, and I think I’ve been writing since first grade. Over the years, I’ve written multiple short stories and am now working on a book of my own. Storytelling has always been my favorite way to express ideas and explore new worlds.

When I was little, my mother would tell me a story every night before bed, and my grandfather would also share stories with me. Those moments sparked my imagination and made me fall in love with the art of storytelling.

Who are your favorite authors, and why?

Carlos Ruiz Zafón is my favorite author because I’m completely in love with his writing style. It’s hypnotic and utterly captivating. I also admire Oscar Wilde for his wit, elegance, and timeless storytelling.

If you could one piece of advice to aspiring writers, what would it be?

Trust your unique voice and don’t be afraid to experiment. Every story you write teaches you something, so embrace the process and let your passion guide you. Also, read as much as you can. The more you read, the better you become at understanding language, structure, and storytelling. Reading is the foundation of great writing.

Anything else you’d like to share about your writing journey?

Writing has always been a journey of discovery for me. It’s taught me to see the world through different perspectives and has given me a creative outlet to explore my ideas. Winning this challenge is a milestone I’ll cherish, and I’m grateful to your platform for recognizing creative talent.
